My Traveling Companions

H. Beam Piper wrote that the fictional characters in his "paratime" series always saw the same patterns in the clouds no matter which time continuum they were in. With me, I notice they are different on every part of the globe. It has become my reality check.

This is a picture of mathers and xan. They met on the internet and she came to visit. A few months ago. He helped me patch some things together a while back and we have been friends ever since. mathers & xan
These were floating over southern Ohio in the afternoon. The Clouds of Southern Ohio

Ron. We met in a cast cutting room decades ago. He had the saw. Neither time nor distance can weaken our friendship. (I am still learning how to take digital pictures at night.) Ron

The day started much earlier. This was taken in southern Kentucky. The Morning of Day Two

On down the road in Mississippi

This was interesting because I could see the rain splattering in small clumps on the road ahead of me. I would be in the rain for a mile and then have no rain for another mile or two. Then it would repeat again. It went on this way for a couple of hours.

It sure looks different than everywhere else I have been on this trip. A View from the Road

I think these are trees.
They make trees like this?

Don't try this at home. I am a trained professional. This was Sunday and there was almost as much traffic as rush hour at home. I had to reload the camera just before this shot. It is good to know my coordination is still pretty good. New Orleans Skyline
Made it after a twelve hour run. Not bad. Be It Ever So Humble

I like the informality here. No hotel ever did it better.
Welcome
