 12 July 1999 - At Work

This is where it all starts today. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
It is very, very long. Bring comfortable shoes.

It still amazes me how we can have such extravagance surrounded by this kind of desolation. Looking the other way
As usual I arrived early. Finally, signs of life.
Just imagine what this will look like when it is filled with people. Inside the center - Main Floor
I have asked for help with guards and at several booths already. No one seems to know how to direct me to my room. So like any good detective I follow the computers.

Within a few minutes I have my room located. Thanks guys.

A twist on FOLLOW THE MONEY
Someone has already been at work. That is a good sign.
Where are the monitors?
My first look at the room.
This is not my Toshiba Tecra 8000 with 198MB RAM and an 8 GB hard drive. This is my P-90. A good machine, but with only a 1GB hard drive.

My Tecra just arrived on Long Island and is sitting in a warehouse waiting for me to act on it. Maybe I can FAX the check (Thanks for the idea Kathy.)

It is just as well. I have many hours of work ahead
What could these people be presenting? Is this some kind of Jack-In-The-Box?
Well, it is New Orleans What kind of party are we having?
